Urgent Call to the International Community:
The Humanitarian Tragedy in Palestine Must End Immediately.
The attacks carried out with “disproportionate violence” in Palestine, which have been ongoing for months, have escalated into a major humanitarian disaster before the eyes of the entire world.
As civilian casualties reach alarming levels, infrastructure is destroyed, and access to basic human needs is denied, international law and humanity are being severely tested.
We, the undersigned civil society organizations, demand that the international community not remain indifferent to this situation and take concrete steps immediately.
The events in Palestine, where civilian spaces such as hospitals, schools, and places of worship are being targeted, tragically present a picture that disregards the rules of international law. This suffering is further exacerbated by the silence and inaction displayed by international organizations such as the United Nations and UNICEF, as well as by the authorities of democratic countries.
The restriction of even the most basic human needs, such as food, water, medicine, and shelter, in complete violation of fundamental principles of international law, has further exacerbated the crisis in the region. Condemning the Palestinian people to starvation is not only a humanitarian crisis, but also an undermining of international order and justice.
For these reasons, we, the undersigned civil society organizations, call on the entire global public, international organizations, and national leaders:
* End the Attacks: International pressure must be increased to immediately end the attacks in Palestine and establish lasting peace and security.
* Humanitarian Aid: All obstacles must be removed to ensure uninterrupted and safe delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
* Legal Responsibility: Perpetrators of acts that violate international law must be tried and held accountable in international courts.
* The Active Role of International Institutions: The UN and other international institutions, aware of their duties and responsibilities, must take more effective and courageous steps to resolve this crisis.
Our efforts and hope are for the genocide in Palestine to end, for humanitarian aid to be delivered to the region without obstacles, and for war criminals to be held accountable.
It is a painful reality that in our country, the issue is often addressed solely through political or religious approaches. Based on the fact that the most fundamental human right is the right to life, and that it transcends all other approaches, we “Break Our Silence.” As individuals who defend human dignity and the right to life, we will not remain silent.
Because we know that “silence” is complicity in oppression. Speaking, seeing, and raising awareness are essential to being human. Silence is partnership; speaking out is remaining human!
What is happening in Palestine is a serious threat to human dignity and international justice. History will remember not those who remain silent at this critical juncture, but those who take action and fight for justice.
We ask you to support our efforts.
Sincerely,
