CALL FOR THE PROCLAMATION OF
“JANUARY 29: PALESTINE GENOCIDE REMEMBRANCE DAY”
This declaration is a call to proclaim January 29 as “Palestine Genocide Remembrance Day” to ensure that the grave human rights violations committed against civilians in Palestine are never forgotten.
Hind Rajab is remembered as a symbol of conscience, representing the most vulnerable victims of war. The Silence is Complicity Platform aims to keep her memory and the memory of all those massacred in Palestine alive through this remembrance day.
This call is made to strengthen global awareness regarding:
- Ensuring that these events are not erased from history through a United Nations resolution,
- Achieving a complete cessation of attacks in Palestine,
- Providing uninterrupted and safe delivery of international humanitarian aid to the region,
- Ensuring that perpetrators of acts violating international law are prosecuted in international courts,
- Preventing the recurrence of similar tragedies.
About the Silence is Complicity Platform
The Silence is Complicity Platform is a collective of individuals dedicated to raising social awareness against human rights violations targeting civilians—whether in Palestine, Sudan, or anywhere else in the world. Our core message is that “remaining silent is equivalent to being an accomplice to the crime.”
Every individual committed to human values has the right and responsibility to raise their voice against crimes committed against civilians, regardless of their identity, religion, or political views.
Our struggle is not about religion or politics; it is about human dignity.

Urgent Call to the International Community
The Humanitarian Tragedy in Palestine Must End Immediately.
The attacks carried out with “disproportionate violence” in Palestine, which have been ongoing for months, have escalated into a major humanitarian disaster before the eyes of the entire world.
As civilian casualties reach alarming levels, infrastructure is destroyed, and access to basic human needs is denied, international law and humanity are being severely tested.
We, the undersigned civil society organizations, demand that the international community not remain indifferent to this situation and take immediate concrete steps.
The events in Palestine, where civilian spaces such as hospitals, schools, and places of worship are being targeted, tragically present a picture that disregards the rules of international law. This suffering is further exacerbated by the silence and inaction displayed by international organizations such as the United Nations and UNICEF, as well as by the authorities of democratic countries.
The restriction of even the most basic human needs, such as food, water, medicine, and shelter, in complete violation of the fundamental principles of international law, has further exacerbated the crisis in the region. Condemning the Palestinian people to starvation is not only a humanitarian crisis, but also an undermining of international order and justice.
For these reasons, we, the undersigned civil society organizations, call on the global public, international organizations, and national leaders:
End the Attacks: International pressure must be increased to immediately stop the attacks in Palestine and establish lasting peace and security.
Humanitarian Aid: All obstacles must be removed to ensure uninterrupted and safe delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
Legal Responsibility: Perpetrators of acts that violate international law must be tried and held accountable in international courts.
The Active Role of International Institutions: The UN and other international institutions, aware of their duties and responsibilities, must take more effective and courageous steps to resolve this crisis.
Our efforts and hope are for the genocide in Palestine to end, for humanitarian aid to be delivered to the region without obstacles, and for war criminals to be brought to justice.
